The body of a missing National Liberation Front (FLN) candidate in Bejaia has been recovered after he went missing last month.

The body of Djouder Said, who was running in the 4 May legislative elections, was found by security services yesterday morning in Cap Carbon, in the heights of Bejaia.

“The body was found in a state of advanced decomposition. The alleged killer is from Amizour [Bejaia],”a source told Tout Sur L’Algerie.

Three people suspected of being involved in the disappearance of Djouder, who had been missing since 30 March, were arrested earlier this week by security services in the region of Tipaza, security source confirmed yesterday.

Police arrested three people… They are being transferred to Bejaia for the purposes of the investigation.

The motives of the suspects who admitted to murdering Djouder, 66, have not yet been made clear.

The arrests were made a day after Djouder’s car was discovered stationed in Bousmail in Tipaza.
