Explosions struck a military camp in Yemen’s southern Aden city on Sunday, killing at least ten soldiers, according to a Yemeni military source.

Powerful blasts took place inside a weapons depot in Jabal Hadid area in southern Aden, the source said on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on speaking to media.

Ambulances were seen rushing the dead and injured to nearby hospitals.

No information was yet available about the cause of the blasts.

Similar explosions rocked the area in 2015, killing and injuring scores of people.

Yemen has been wracked by conflict since 2014, when Houthi rebels and allied forces loyal to former President Ali Abdullah Saleh overran capital Sanaa and other parts of the country.
