Egypt: 2 judges given non-judicial posts, another dismissed

Two Egyptian judges have been transferred to non-judicial posts while another has been dismissed, following decisions issued by President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi today, the Egyptian Gazette reported.

Decision No. 195 of 2017 ordered the dismissal of Judge Hassan Ali Syed Hussein Al-Najjar, president of the Cairo Appeal Court.

Decision No. 196 of 2017 ordered the transfer of Judge Amr Hassan Nabil Morsi Fahmy Ali Hassan of Mansoura Court to a non-judicial post at the Ministry of Awqaf. While decision No. 197 of 2017 ordered the transfer of Judge Mahmud Ahmad Abu Hashim Ali, the second-level president of Damietta Elementary Court, to a non-judicial post at the Ministry of Manpower.
