May 25, 2017 at 9:37 pm

Human rights activist Isam Yusuf yesterday denounced the terrorist attack which targeted innocent civilians in Manchester on Monday, claiming 22 lives and injuring many more.

In a press statement, Yusuf said: “Such criminal actions defame and offence Islam and lead to harm coming unto Muslims in the UK an around the world.”

He called on Muslims in Europe to “stand united in confronting the disease of extremism and working together to project the true and pure image of their communities and of their faith throughout their wider societies.”

Terrorism, such as this heinous attack in Manchester, is to commit a crime against humanity, and the perpetrators have no morals that are befitting of humanity.

“Should they be under the illusion that by committing such crimes, they are somehow claiming vengeance for victims of Western crimes in Muslim lands, then they are clearly wrong for crimes should never be responded to by similarly inhumane crimes.”

Finally, Yusuf stressed that all forms of terrorism should be condemned, from Manchester to Palestine where People have been suffering systematic state oppression, occupation and death for decades.
