Qatar says it faces campaign of lies, denies interfering

Qatar said today it was facing a campaign of lies and fabrications aimed at putting the Gulf Arab state under guardianship, after Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Egypt and Yemen cut ties with it.

The campaign of incitement is based on lies that had reached the level of complete fabrications

the Qatari foreign ministry said.

It added that, as a member of the Gulf Cooperation Council, it was committed to its charter, respected the sovereignty of other states and did not interfere in their affairs.

Dubai-based budget carrier flydubai said today it would suspend flights to and from Doha from tomorrow.

“From Tuesday 06 June 2017 all flydubai flights between Dubai and Doha will be suspended,” the statement said today.

This comes after Abu Dhabi’s state-owned Etihad Airways said it will suspend all flights to and from Doha from Tuesday morning.
