A group of settlers set up a new illegal outpost on private Palestinian land north-west of Salfit, in the northern occupied West Bank.

The head of the committee against the wall and settlement in Deir Istiya, Nazmi Salman, said in a statement today that a group of settlers set up a number of tents and wooden caravans on land owned by Palestinians from Deir Istiya.

He added that a road had been built from the illegal Novim colony to the new outpost and electricity connections were being extended to the new illegal development.
