Haniyeh discusses Palestinian issue developments with Norwegian ambassador

The head of Hamas’ political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, met yesterday with the Norwegian Ambassador, Hilda Haraldstad, to discuss political developments in the region.

According to Haniyeh’s office, the two officials have had a “deep discussion” on the latest political developments on the Palestinian issue and in the region.

Unlike most of the European countries, Norway is among the European states that had lifted the ban on meeting Hamas officials.

Foreign delegations meet with Hamas leaders in an effort to resolve some outstanding issues.
