The Houthis awarded an Israeli channel work permits in areas under its control, a senior Yemeni official said.

The official said the group gave Israel-based international news channel i24NEWS permission to work in areas under its control and that the channel has a correspondent working in secret and in coordination with the group.

The official confirmed that the channel, owned by Patrick Drahi, was granted work permits in Yemen in secret without giving further details on the reporter’s name or nationality, according to Misr Al-Arabiya.

As part of their slogan, the Houthi chant “death to Israel” and are known for their hostility toward the settler-colonial state.
