Algerian security services announced yesterday that they had arrested a man who was impersonating Prime Minister Abdelmadjid Tebboune on Facebook, Alwasat.net reported.
Spokesperson of the ministerial council, Ahmed Madani, said: “We will close the false [Facebook] page which published incorrect information.”
In a statement, the ministerial council said: “After closing the false Facebook page that impersonated the prime minister, we let all mass media know that Mr Abdelmadjid Tebboune has no page on this website.”

The statement stressed that the prime minister is not going to have a Facebook account bearing his name, noting that the person who committed the crime was arrested and is being questioned.
