Russia discusses arms sales to Algeria, Egypt, Turkey

Russia is holding talks with Egypt, Algeria and Turkey during the Moscow 2017 International Aerospace Show for potential acquisitions of airplanes and air defence systems, the Russian news agency Sputnik News reported.

“We have planned to hold negotiations with our Egyptian partners; we will discuss the deliveries of helicopters for the Mistrals. Apart from that, negotiations with our Algerian and Turkish partners focusing mainly on air defence and aircraft have been scheduled,director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, Dmitry Shugaev, told Sputnik.

The Moscow International Aerospace Exhibition (MAKS), one of the biggest aeronautical events in the world, kicked off yesterday at the Zhukovsky Airport, 40 kilometres south-east of the capital Moscow.
