The Union of Moroccan Writers yesterday called on the international community to “immediately intervene and protect the Palestinian people and Islamic sanctities from the Israeli violations, aggressions and violent practices”.

In a statement, the union condemned the “barbaric attack” and “the abhorrent provocative practices which add to the Israeli occupation’s long record of violations and crimes against the Palestinian people and their land.

It rejected what it described as “concessions made by some Arab and Islamic countries” to Israel at a time when it intensifies its arrogance.

“The Arab and Islamic countries, the international community and the civil and human rights bodies across the world should move the political, diplomatic, cultural and legal channels to deal firmly with Israel.”

On Friday and Saturday, four Palestinians were killed by Israeli soldier during demonstrations.
