A spokesman for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) has accused Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas of verbally assaulting the movement’s representative during a Palestinian Liberation Movement meeting in occupied Ramallah.

In an interview with Quds Press, spokesman Hani Al-Thawabta said Abbas and his body guards verbally and physically assaulted Omar Shehadeh on Friday following a heated argument between the two.

According to Al-Thawabta, Abbas used his guards who broke into a meeting and assaulted Shehadeh physically.

He called for an end to Abbas’ policy of exclusion and attacks against anyone who opposes him whether it is a faction or a person.

“This policy does not serve the Palestinian establishment. On the contrary, it perpetuates the philosophy of the individual and allows arrogance and neglect of the Palestinian people’s rights.”

He also called to hold those who attacked Shehadeh accountable for their acts.
