July 26, 2017 at 11:35 am

Iranian speaker of the parliament Ali Larijani has said that his country will respond accordingly to the new sanctions announced by the United States against Tehran.

Larijani accused Washington of breaking agreements and said “they [Americans] believe that breaking the nuclear agreement will do them good; on the contrary they will be more affected than others”.

He pointed out that the Iranian Shura Council is considering a set of new measures to counter the new US sanctions against Iran, adding “we can change the situation quickly”.

In July the United States revealed new economic sanctions against Iran over its ballistic missile programme and said that it was concerned by “Iran’s harmful activities across the Middle East”.
