Al-Kuwari said this support was ordered by the Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad, noting that Doha was among the first countries to provide support for the Italian government after the earthquake.

QFFD’s fund will focus on the education sector and the building of schools, according to Al-Kuwari, noting this is Qatar’s priority in providing foreign aid.
