The Saudi foreign minister accused the United Nations Human Rights Office of bias following the publication of its new report on Yemen, Sky News reported.

Adel Al-Jubeir claimed the UN report did not include the Saudi narrative regarding the ongoing conflict.

“We invited the United Nations to come and discuss it with us. We invited the United Nations to come and take a look at how we choose our targets and how we conduct operations. And none of them came,” Al-Jubeir said.

Saudi Arabia’s military role in Yemen has been repeatedly condemned by rights groups for its indiscriminate targeting of civilians. Media reports claimed that up to 71 civilians were killed as a result of airstrikes in August.

The Kingdom is supporting the UN-recognised President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi against military advances by the Houthi armed group. Saudi Arabia claims that Iran is arming the Houthis, which have posed a sever risk to its borders in recent months.
