Germany: Daesh stole 11,000 blank Syrian passports

German authorities are conducting an investigation into Daesh’s possession of blank Syrian passports, according Bild newspaper yesterday.

Bild quoted high rank sources in the German Federal Ministry of the Interior as saying that Daesh stole 11,000 blank passports from Syrian regime offices, which can be filled with personal data.

The sources added that the Ministry of the Interior has prepared a list of the serial numbers of the passports that Daesh has in its possession based on intelligence information.

According to the newspaper, the German authorities fear that these passports will be used by dangerous Daesh members to enter Germany. Therefore, they are conducting an investigation into the matter.
