The Israeli army received two American F-35 fighter jets as part of a deal to buy 50 jets over the next few years.
Israeli army spokesman, Avichay Adraee, said in a press release: “Israel received two jets last night in an official ceremony.” Israel now has seven F-35 jets.
“The two jets received yesterday will be added to the five already owned by Israel. The operational preparation for these jets will begin soon.”
“These F-35 jets are considered the most advanced in the world, as they are highly advanced in formulating an image of the situation and processing information immediately, making it a multi-functional weapon with unprecedented capabilities.”
Israel had made a deal with the US to buy 50 of these jets, at a cost of $100 million each. They are considered the most advanced jets in terms of their ability to pass through radars undetected and fly long distances without needing refueling.
