The Jordan Valley is an “inseparable part of the State of Israel”, the Education Minister Naftali Bennett said on Thursday.

Speaking at the inauguration of his party’s office in the occupied Palestinian territory, the Jewish Home leader said: “The Jordan Valley will always be an inseparable part of the State of Israel, and it is of strategic importance to the security of the state, and I am very happy that we are planting roots in it.”

The party’s Director General, Nir Orbach, added:

We see great importance in strengthening the settlement in the Jordan Valley.

The right-wing party’s office was opened in the illegal Shadmot Mehola settlement in the occupied Jordan Valley. Israel’s Justice Minister and Jewish Home party member Ayelet Shaked was amongst those present at the inauguration.

An area of approximately 400 square kilometres, the Jordan Valley lies along the River Jordan. It is 200-400 metres below sea level.

Memo to Bennett – then your ‘jewish only state’ is dead.
Demographic trends mean that Israel can’t have it all.
It can’t be a Jewish state, a democratic state, and a state in control of its whole mythologial land.
It can only have two of its objectives at a time.
Israel can be Jewish and territorial — but not democratic.
Or it can be democratic and territorial — but not Jewish.
Or finally, it can be Jewish and democratic — but not territorial.

The Palestinians are not going to go away. The indigenous population of a geographic region have a right to establish an independent state of and for its inhabitants and people up to n-generations removed from it. Zionists like you seem to think that the religion-based identity of Jewish comprises a right to a religion-supremacist state of and for all people who choose to hold that identity. It doesn’t.

    • davidsinger

The West Bank is 4% of former Palestine. Israel is 17%, Jordan is 78% and Gaza is 1%.
There is no “Jewish only state”. Arabs in Israel comprise 20% of the population.
There is an “Arabs only state”. Arabs in Jordan comprise 100% of the population.
Get your facts straight before rushing into print.

      • betz55

Oh please. Stop with the semantics, the old, tired hasbara crap doesn’t work anymore. We are talking about Palestinians, not Israeli Arabs. Your demeaning, racist, bigotry just embarrasses you. The Palestinians are over taking you Jews, BDS is working and nutty and his ugly wife are on their way out. Get your facts straight before rushing into print. Are they not paying trolls enough at the tel Aviv hasbara institute?

        • davidsinger

Who in your understanding then are “Palestinians”? Where do they presently live?
Where is this “Jewish only state” located to which you are referring?

          • betz55

Oh no…. david… is it….who do you think the Palestinains are? I love it – your reaching is hilarous – it clashes so wonderfully with other Israeli talking points. In the end it amounts to “We are under existential threat from the people who don’t exist.” Lovely no ? oh no tahat – you don’t get to re-write history – you act like none of here can read, disseminate information or Google – your idiocy is epic. It is on you to explain why the indigenous people of Palestine who inhabited the land for 3000 years after the Jews left are not native to it.

“jewish state”? it will never happen. You need to re-read the Balfour Declaration. If there was no ‘Palestine’ then you and your ilk need to leave immedietly, you are clearly in the wrong place.

Ah yes, let’s address your attempts at deflection, worn out hasbara. let’s refer to pages….oh…well… to numerous to mention huh? Haaretz reported in 2013 how Prime Minister Netanyahu’s office collaborated with the National Union of Israeli Students to establish “covert units” at the seven national universities to be structured in a “semi-military” fashion and organized in situation rooms. Students are paid as much as $2,000 monthly to use aliases to work the online targets.

It’s a hasbara point scoring technique called the “bandwagon effect”. You can read about it under 7 Basic Propaganda Devices in the hasbara handbook. http://www.middle-east-info

Sorry you seem to be getting increasingly upset.
You used the term “Palestinians” – and when I ask you what you mean by that term – you turn the question on me and ask me what I mean by that term. You tell me first who you meant when you used that term and I promise I will tell you whether I agree or disagree.
“jewish state”? it will never happen?” – I thought there was a jewish state and its name is Israel. Do you agree?
Tried unsuccessfully to find Haaretz article. Could you post link?
Tried to use your link to 7 Basic Propaganda Devices but it does not work. Could you post it again please?
The only one of us using an alias is you. Why don’t you use your real name?

    1. The Haaretz web site was blocked.

    2. I note this comment posted by you on the washington post blog site shows how rabid a Jew-hater you
really are. Thanks for outing yourself. My comments are in [brackets]:
“What Nutty wants is not a democratic and secular state that accorded full and equal rights to all of its citizens; he wants an Apartheid state governed by a Jewish Herrenvolk.

[20% of Israel’s population are Arabs who shop in the same shops as Jews, go to the same picture theatres as Jews, eat in the same restaurants as Jews, vote for the same politicians at the same elections as Jews, enjoy prominent positions as judges, university lecturers and diplomats as Jews do and attend the same universities as Jews. The whites in South Africa were the minority – the black population was the majority. In Israel the Jews are the majority, the Arabs the minority.]

Nazi – Konzentrationslagers – concentration camps
    Israel – Gaza
[Gazans have their own Government and can come and go from Gaza. They are supplied with goods from Israel and are visited by hosts of international visitors and the Red Cross. Don’t remember the Jews enjoying these kind of privileges in the Nazi concentration camps]

Nazi – Kadavergehorsam – zombie like obedience to Hitler
Israel – zombie like obedience to Netanyahoo and the Occupation
[Kadavergehorsam means “zombie like obedience” – not zombie like obedience to Hitler]

Nazi – Schutzhaft – imprisonment without proceedings
Israel – beating, killing, assasinations without proceedings
[Schutzhaft means “protective custody” not imprisonment without proceedings.

Nazi – Sippenhaft – exacting revenge on one’s family
Israel – demolishing family house of an accused Palestinian
[demolishing a family house of an accused Arab is part of the British Mandate law that is still applicable when acts of terrorism are involved]

Nazi – destroyed warsaw ghetto tunnels
Israel – destroyed Gaza ghetto tunnels
[the pathetic warsaw ghetto tunnels built to allow Jews to escape the Nazis cannot be compared with the state of the art Gaza tunnels built with concrete meant for houses and not used as a means of escape for the Gazan Arabs but to kill as many Jews as possible]

    Nazi – Lebebsraum
    Israel – natural growth”
[Lebensraum means “the land or territory that a country’s leaders believe it requires in order to grow and flourish” The Jews have 17% of former Palestine. The Arabs have 78% of former Palestine. The Arabs want the lot – 100%. The Jews will settle for about 20%. Who is the landgrabber – the Jews or the Arabs?]

By the sound of things “the jewish state” is very much alive and kicking – not “dead” as you claim.
You mention “Israel” six times in your above diatribe

You didn’t say why you used an alias and not your real name. Now I know why.

    • betz55

@david – thank your for your textbook responses from the hasbara handbook. you can google to find out what you claim you cannot. Ah yes, let the smears begin These attacks typically follow a similar pattern of harassment. The tactics are as follows: Attack the messenger. Don’t respond to the message with rational argument. Attack the messenger (again). And again. And the attack must, at the least, hurl accusations against them of being anti-Semites and supporters of terrorism.

Your deliberate non comprehension is hilarious – you have proven the point beautifully. No one hates like a rabid, messianic, racist jew and expresses so well blatant anti-Arab bigotry. You have shown what a blatant anti-Arab bigoted – anti-Palestinian/Islamophobic you are. But well done, the Palestinians send their thanks and ask that you keep up the good work.

It should be noted that israel and it’s supporters, like you, being the ‘deep thinkers’ you all aren’t have created a reduction ad adsurdum situation. Here then is the embodiment of zionazism, utterly unevolved, sociopathic, sadistic, apartheid, denying the Occupation and at best should be treated like the trash and sewage it epitomizes for the world to see.

Perhaps, in your twisted little mind, it is only israelis who can be victimized; after all, you will readily tell us, remember the holocaust! Never again! Oh, that means ‘never again’ to you and israelis; but such crimes against others, especially Palestinians, are just fine.

      • davidsinger

I didn’t attack the messenger (you).

I attacked your message pointing out the lies, deceit and inaccuracies contained in it point by point. You have not sought to rebut even one of my comments. That you are a rabid Jew-hater is a conclusion that can be properly drawn with even more confidence.

Instead you attack the messenger (me) with not the slightest attempt to rebut my message with this outrageous personal ad hominem outburst:
“No one hates like a rabid, messianic, racist jew and expresses so well blatant anti-Arab bigotry. You have shown what a blatant anti-Arab bigoted – anti-Palestinian/Islamophobic you are. But well done, the Palestinians send their thanks and ask that you keep up the good work.”
What about some evidence to back up this unsubstantiated rubbish?

The fact that you choose to do so anonymously does you no credit either.

        • betz55

Then what are you getting so upset about? I didn;t attack you, i attacked your message and pointed out the lies, deceit and inaccuracies. Just like you did. You replied to my post – remember – so all those ‘ad hominem attacks’ were initiated by you. The facts are out there, you just chose to ignore them. Do you really think no one reading this knows how to Google, read and disseminate hasbaric information. Your hasbara is not un but substantiated rubbish, and all your deflections, smear attempts, blah, blah, blah is just noise. I stand by all by earlier posts. And you seem most upset that i am anonymous. Really now? That is your problem, not mine, i don’t care in the least. And i urge to read all those lovely links. You seem to have alot of time on your hands or maybe your shift at the hasbara institute is almost over.

          • davidsinger

            betz55

            You now state:
“I didn;t attack you, i attacked your message and pointed out the lies, deceit and inaccuracies.”

            Really?

This was my message in answer to your original comment:
“The West Bank is 4% of former Palestine. Israel is 17%, Jordan is 78% and Gaza is 1%.
There is no “Jewish only state”. Arabs in Israel comprise 20% of the population.
There is an “Arabs only state”. Arabs in Jordan comprise 100% of the population.
Get your facts straight before rushing into print.”

            This was your reply:
“Oh please. Are they not paying trolls enough at the tel Aviv hasbara institute?”

If you want to attack my message do so by pointing out the lies, deceits and inaccuracies in the following claims made by me:
            1. The West Bank is 4% of former Palestine
            2. Israel is 17% of former Palestine
            3. Jordan is 78% of former Palestine
            4. Gaza is 1% of former Palestine.
            5. Arabs comprise 20% of Israel’s population
            6. Arabs in Jordan comprise 100% of the population

Do you agree with these claims or don’t you?

If you don’t agree – point out the lies, deceits and inaccuracies contained in these statements.

  • davidsinger

    I repeat for your edification:
“If you want to attack my message do so by pointing out the lies, deceits and inaccuracies in the following claims made by me:
    1. The West Bank is 4% of former Palestine
    2. Israel is 17% of former Palestine
    3. Jordan is 78% of former Palestine
    4. Gaza is 1% of former Palestine.
    5. Arabs comprise 20% of Israel’s population
    6. Arabs in Jordan comprise 100% of the population”

It is a pretty simple exercise. Just answer “Agree” or “Disagree” to each of the above six statements.
