A convoy carrying Turkish military reinforcements today arrived in the southern state of Kelis on the border with Syria.

The convoy consists of armoured personnel carriers, along with a truck loaded with eight buses, according to an Anadolu Agency correspondent.

The convoy headed from Kelis towards the border where reinforcements will be deployed in the area.

The trucks were sent amid heightened security measures accompanied by gendarmes, and will work to support the units stationed at the border, according to the source, quoting military sources.
