On Sunday, the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation has published photos that it says they prove that there were US Special Operations Forces vehicles in the Daesh-controlled areas in the northern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, in the East of Syria.

In a statement that it published on its official Facebook account, the ministry said that the US Special Operations Forces enable the Syrian Democratic Forces units to smoothly advance through Daeh’s locations along the left shore of the Euphrates without facing any resistance.

The ministry also explained that the aerial photos made from 8 September to 12 September over the Daesh locations recorded a large number of American Hummer vehicles, which are stationed at strong holds that Daesh equipped.

The ministry pointed out that “there is no evidence of the US Forces’ assault, struggle or any US-led coalition airstrikes against these Daesh strongholds, and there was no screening patrol that the US military units have set to protect their strongholds”.

The ministry added, “This indicates that the US troops feel safe in terrorist (Daesh)-controlled regions.”

It should be noted that these were not the first accusations that the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation directed against the US military of complying with “terrorist” movements in Syria. Few days ago, Moscow had held Washington responsible for backing up an attack by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (previously Al-Nusra Front) on Syrian regime locations in the countryside of Hama near the borders with Idlib.
