Air Algerie: Flights to Canada will operate as usual

October 4, 2017 at 9:56 am

Acting CEO of Air Algerie Bakhouche Alleche has reassured passengers heading to Canada that the airline’s flights will operate as usual.

In a statement to Shorouk newspaper, Alleche slammed the fierce campaign against the company which he said sought to discredit its reputation.

“There was no verdict against us and the International Tribunal report clarified the rights of both the Algerian airline company and the Canadian Studies office.”

Alleche said the airline’s flights will operate as usual, stressing that the company did not commit any violations to be forced to pay compensation.

On Sunday, the Chamber of Commerce of the international tribunal of arbitration based in Switzerland, ordered Air Algerie to pay a fine to the Canadian SMI International in a dispute regarding a project to build the new Air Algerie headquarters at the Bab Ezzouar business centre in Algiers. Reports claimed that if the fine was not paid, the airline would be unable to fly to Canada.
