The Shura Council of Ennahda Movement will hold a meeting next Saturday to find a candidate to replace Hatem al-Ferjani, a deputy who was recently appointed to the government. Al-Ferjani was legislative representative for the district of Germany.

According to Assabah News, the Shura Council will make a decision concerning the candidacy file for the Germany district, the highest authority in the party.

Conflicting opinions within the movement regarding this matter vary widely.

A presidential decree, Number 191 dating 3 October, 2017, was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Tunisia. It concerns the invitation of Tunisian voters, who reside in Germany and are registered there during the partial legislative elections, to participate in voting on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 15, 16, and 17 December, 2017 respectively.

Moncef Marzouki won the votes of the Germany district at the expense of Beji Caid Essebsi, and this was during the second round of the latest presidential elections.
