The fight against terrorism can only be achieved through international cooperation and solidarity, Turkey’s Prime Minister, Binali Yıldırım, said in a message, as quoted by his media office.

“As the prime minister of a country which has struggled with terrorism for years, I believe that the fight against terrorism can only be achieved by international cooperation and solidarity,” he stressed.

On the occasion of the 72nd United Nations Day, Yıldırım condemned “the terrorist attacks that threaten the security and stability of the world,” calling for “international cooperation to combat terrorism.”

Yıldırım hailed the UN, of which Turkey is considered as one of its founding members, on all “its counter-terrorism efforts.”

The prime minster hoped the agency’s anniversary would be “a motive for achieving peace and prosperity for all the humanity.”

Turkey, he pointed out, plays a significant role in achieving security, peace, mediation, renaissance and humanitarian assistance across the region, in alignment with the UN core goals.
