October 27, 2017 at 3:54 pm

An Egyptian misdemeanours’ court sentenced a singer known as Bossy Ah ya Dunia to a total of 21 years in prison for issuing cheques that later bounced worth 30 million Egyptian pounds ($1.7 million).

The cases against Yasmin Shaaban were filed by her ex-husband Walid Futain.

She was previously sentenced in multiple cases of cheque-bouncing. Yesterday’s three-year court order brings Shaaban’s sentences to 21 years in total, with a three-year sentence issued in each court case.

The court ordered the singer be summoned next Thursday to hear the rulings handed down against her.
