Houthi militias target Saudi 'military warehouse'

October 28, 2017 at 11:39 am

Houthi militias in Yemen announced on Friday that they have targeted a Saudi “military warehouse” in the southern city of Najran, Anadolu has reported. A TV channel close to the Houthis said that their forces fired a missile at the building in the Saudi city; the attack was, it is alleged, successful in hitting the target.

According to China’s Xinhua news agency, though, the Saudi-led coalition claimed that the missile hit a residential compound belonging to a Saudi government-run civilian company in Beir Askar area of Najran.

Xinhua pointed out that this is the latest of a number of missiles fired by Houthis from Yemen toward Saudi cities. The attacks have taken place ever since Saudi Arabia intervened in the Yemeni war more than two and a half years ago.
