Sudan Al-Bashir says Islamic project succeeded in Sudan

The Sudanese president, Omar al-Bashir said Saturday that the Islamic project has succeeded in his country.

Al-Bashir called who is also the leader of the Sudanese Islamic Movement called for internal cohesion and unity to face the internal and external challenges.

“The Islamic project in Sudan has successful which is demonsrated by the spread of mosques and increasing number of young people who attend them” the Sudanese News Agency (SUNA) reported al- Bashir as saying at the conclusion of a meeting for the Sudanese Islamic Movement Shura Council.

The president has also called on the Islamic Movement to participate in the government campaign to collect illegal firearms and vehicles which began two months ago.

The campaign is not a security project only, because it involves significant social and psychological aspects aimed at eliminating the effects of arms proliferation and the loss of life

he said.
