Qatar allocates aid for hurricane-hit Dominica

The State of Qatar will allocate financial assistance to Dominica to help the victims of Hurricanes Irma and Maria which struck the island in September.

The announcement was made during a meeting between Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Roosevelt Skerrit, and Qatar Ambassador, Khamis Batti Al- Sahouti.

Skerrit thanked the government and people of Qatar on behalf of his government and people for their contribution to alleviating the grave consequences of the hurricanes.

The meeting was attended by the Commonwealth of Dominica Foreign Minister, Francine Baron.
