Family of 8 left homeless as Israel forces Jerusalemite to demolish his house

Israeli occupation forces in Jerusalem forced a Palestinian resident of Silwan to demolish his own house, Quds Press reported yesterday.

Ibrahim Abu-Rammouz said Israeli occupation forces has ordered him to demolish his home three years ago however he has been fighting to stop the demolition and obtain the near impossible to attain planning permissions to no avail.

Finally, his lawyer had told him that he must either demolish his house or the Israeli municipality would do so and charge him 50,000 ($14,200) in costs.

He said that his house, which was built ten years ago, consisted of two floors. He, his wife and six of his sons lived in it.
