Israelis arrest retired Palestinian general

Israel’s occupation forces arrested retired Major General Yousef Al-Sharqawi on Sunday, Quds Press has reported. The Palestinian officer was detained in occupied Jerusalem.

Eyewitnesses said that the Israelis stopped Al-Sharqawi while he was driving his car in the occupied city. He was taken to an unknown destination.

Al-Sharqawi, 60, is from Bethlehem. He served as a senior officer in the National Security Service of the Palestinian Authority before his retirement.
