A senior official of Palestinian Islamic Jihad has called on the Palestinian National Council (PNC) to cut relations with the United States and accelerate internal reconciliation, Safa News Agency reported on Friday.

“Given that all of us, including Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, is now accepting that the US is not an objective mediator in the conflict with our enemy,” said Ahmed Al-Mudallal, “we should be serious and end relations with it.”

His remarks were made during a demonstration organised by his movement against Donald Trump’s move on Jerusalem, adding:

This call is also forwarded to the Arab and Islamic countries, which are demanded to dismiss the US ambassadors from their lands and cut all relations with the US Administration.
