Negotiations towards brokers a deal which would see Moscow supply Riyadh with Russia’s S-400 missile defence system have reached their final stages, the Saudi Ambassador in Moscow Raed Bin Khaled Qrimli said yesterday.

“There are detailed discussions between the two parties on the final arrangements and technical issues, especially with regards to the transfer of technology and information,” Saudi’s Okaz newspaper quoted Qrimli telling Russia’s TASS news agency.

Last year, TASS quoted the information office of the Federal Service for Military Technical Cooperation confirming that Moscow had agreed to sell S-400 air defence systems to Saudi Arabia during King Salman’s visit.
