PLO official: US a ‘real danger’ to Middle East

Secretary of the PLO’s Executive Committee Saeb Erekat said yesterday that the US administration has become a “real danger” to the stability and safety of the Middle East and its residents, Quds Net reported.

Speaking to Palestine TV, Erekat said that the US’ blind support for the occupation state and its decision to move the embassy to Jerusalem “poses a real danger to the safety and stability of the region and its people.”

He added: “We, as part of this region, will stand up against the danger of this administration.”

Erekat added: “We will never allow the continuation of the [US] stances as they are. We must have a say and stand up against all the challenges that surround us after the US lost its legitimacy to be a mediator for peace.”
