Jordan: Unemployment reaches 18.5% in last quarter of 2017

The unemployment rate has amounted to 18.5 percent in the final quarter of last year, with a rate of 16 percent for males compared to 27 percent for females. According to the Department of Statistics, there has been no change in the unemployment rate of this round compared to the third quarter of 2017.

With regard to gender, the data showed that the unemployment rate has increased by 0.7 percent for males and decreased by 2.5 percentage for females during the last quarter of 2017 compared to the third quarter of the same year.
