A Libyan man has confessed to murdering his ex-wife, chopping her body into pieces and feeding them to stray dogs.

The suspect identified as Boubaker Khalifa Ahmed appeared in a short video clip on Tuesday evening in which he confessed to the heinous murder of Zeinab Ali Anfis.

The crime was discovered last week when a guard dog appeared carrying a human limb. Residents followed the dog and discover the slain woman’s other body parts; with some eaten by stray dogs.

The suspect, who was arrested by Tripoli’s security directorate after a week of investigation, confessed to murdering his ex-wife after luring her to his home.

“I called her and she accompanied me in a taxi to the house, where I strangled her and slaughtered her with a knife in the bathroom. Then I cut her body up into several pieces and put them in a bag and threw them on the road. I was tired with her. She betrayed me when we were married,” he said.
