The Ezzeddin al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Palestinian group Hamas, on Sunday launched military exercises in the Gaza Strip.
Hundreds of armed Qassam members have been deployed across the Palestinian territory, according to local sources.
No further details were available about the nature of the exercises.
“The exercises have been planned in advance,” Hamas said in a statement on Saturday, without providing any details.
The military training comes one day after Israeli warplanes struck a Hamas position in southern Gaza Strip, without causing any casualties.
