Trump is a businessman who knows nothing about politics, says Rouhani

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has called US President Donald Trump a “businessman and a trader” who knows nothing about politics or international law.

“The White House believes that it can run the Middle East,” said Rouhani who was speaking at a ceremony in the city of Tabriz. “We say that neither it nor Israel can decide the Middle East’s fate. Only the people of the region can decide their future,” he said.

“A tradesman and a tower builder cannot make decisions on international issues. The US president, who knows nothing about politics and laws, must first demonstrate his commitment to the nuclear agreement, and then question it,” Rouhani is reported to have said.
