On Tuesday, the Kremlin said that “the US withdrawal from the nuclear weapons deal with Iran will have serious consequences.”

US President Donald Trump is expected to announce within hours whether he will pull out from an agreement that has lifted economic sanctions against Iran in return for curbing its nuclear activities.

“There will be dire consequences for any actions that would break these agreements,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
