The Palestinian Authority (PA) said that Washington is a partner-aggressor against the Palestinian people.

In a press statement,Wednesday, Nabil Abu Rudeina, a PA spokesman said:

“The policy of incitement by Washington’s ambassadors to the United Nations and Israel has encouraged Israeli extremists to continue their actions and settlement and to continue their aggression against the Palestinian people,”

He went on and said, “American provocation and disregard for the Arab world and the international community contributed to increasing mistrust that does not exist already, and the tension of the relationship fraught with suspicion and lack of credibility, and the fall of the illusion of establishing peace with the Arabs without the Palestinians.”

The region is facing a state of confusion at a stage fraught with problems and instability, which requires a unified Palestinian and Arab position to confront the Israeli-American aggression on sanctities, national rights and resolutions of international legitimacy.

Further, Palestinian Foreign Minister, Riyad Al-Maliki, stressed the commitment of the Authority’s decision to cut all political contacts with the US administration, because of “positions which are totally biased to Israel”.

Al-Maliki said in statements published by the official Palestinian radio “The call of the Palestinian ambassador to Washington is part of the Palestinian escalation steps against Washington and its positions.”

“Washington has isolated itself from sponsoring the peace process by its decision on Jerusalem, and the Palestinians will not accept any plan it offers to resolve the conflict with Israel,” he said.

On Tuesday evening, Palestinian Authority President, Mahmoud Abbas decided to call on the head of the Palestine Liberation Organization PLO office in Washington, Ambassador Husam Zomlot.

Last Monday, Washington opened its embassy in Jerusalem under US President Donald Trump’s declaration in December 6, 2017, the occupied city of Jerusalem is the capital of the Israeli occupation.

In parallel with the inauguration of the embassy, the Israeli army committed a massacre against peaceful demonstrators on the Gaza Strip border, who came out to protest the transfer of the embassy; which resulted in the martyrdom of 62 Palestinians and injury of more than 3188 others.
