The 2015 nuclear deal signed between the world powers and Iran is “in a critical condition” after the US withdrew from it, Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif said.
According to a member of parliament, Zarif said during a closed session that “he was unaware of Europe’s ability to withstand US sanctions”, adding that it was not known how much European companies would commit to EU leaders’ decisions.
On Saturday, Zarif began a tour to several countries in a final attempt to save the nuclear deal after the United States pulled out of it.
A German newspaper reported that diplomats from Europe, China and Russia will discuss a new agreement offering Iran financial assistance in exchange for reducing its interference in the region and reducing development of its missile programme.
