The Emir of the State of Kuwait, Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, has that his country will support the Palestinian Marches of Return “till the end.”
The statement came during a telephone conversation between the head of the political bureau of Hamas Movement, Ismail Haniyeh, and the Emir of Kuwait, last night, according to a statement issued by Haniyeh’s office.
During the telephone conversation, Al-Sabah insisted that the Palestinian cause is also the cause of the Kuwaiti leadership and people.
He added: “We will be with you in these marches (in reference to the Marches of Return) till the end.”

In another context, the Emir of Kuwait stressed the importance of achieving national unity and solidarity among the Palestinian people, through achieving internal reconciliation.
Haniyeh praised Kuwait’s positions in support of the Palestinian cause in international forums and at the popular level.
Haniyeh said that Kuwait’s support for the Palestinian issue at the UN Security Council and the summit of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation in Istanbul is “a reflection of Kuwait’s inherent and steadfast position towards our people and our national cause and its embrace of the March of Return.”
Since the start of the “Marches of Return” in the Gaza Strip on 30 March, which demand granting the “right of return” to the Palestinian refugees and lifting the Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip, the occupation army killed 118 Palestinians. It has held the bodies of six martyrs of them and they were not recorded in the lists of the Ministry of Health. It has also injured more than 13,000 others.
