Twenty-three-year-old Mohammed was targeted while taking part in protests being staged in Bureij, it was the first time he had participated in the demonstrations. His father was injured in Khan Yunis.

Our injuries are now obvious to the world, they reveal the occupation’s attempts to suppress the Palestinian people’s peaceful protests by confronting the demonstrators with internationally prohibited bullets

they said from Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in central Gaza.

Husband and wife, Mohammed and Asma Abu Daqqa, were also both targeted by Israeli snipers. Twenty-eight-year-old Mohammed was shot in the foot while he attended protests on the second Friday after the Great March of Return was launched.

His twenty-three-year-old wife was left with multiple fractures in her foot, leaving her in agony and unable to fast this Ramadan. Mohammed is now trying to save up to pay for medicines and painkillers the couple need to cope with the results of their injuries.

The couple now need someone to help them care for their children and risk losing their house because they are unable to continue rent payments.
