The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) held Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah responsible for imposing sanctions on the Gaza Strip and deducting the salaries of thousands of civil servants in the besieged enclave.

The PFLP said in a statement yesterday that it would reveal the names of “corrupt officials” in the administration “who feed off and appropriate the resources and wealth of our people at the expense of the children and women of Gaza, and work day and night to undermine the unity of our people and hit his steadfastness and resistance against the occupation”.

It considered the continued starvation of Gaza a humanitarian crime that violates national morals and harms Palestinian unity as well as international laws and is a blatant disregard for the national consensus.

The Front called on the Palestinian masses to reject the policy of starvation and the blockade against the Gaza Strip and to participate in the vigil which will be held on Sunday to protest against such measures.
