The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) condemned the visit of a Moroccan delegation of engineers, writers and directors to Israel, describing it as a “stab in the back of the Palestinian people”.

The Popular Front said in a statement: “This visit represents a step that is not separated from the context of Arab reactionary forces which seek unceasingly and in coordination with the enemies of the Arab nation to impose normalisation and act in contradiction with the supreme interests of the peoples of the Arab nation.”

It added: “This visit also represents a suspicious attempt to weaken the efforts of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, which strives to isolate the enemy entity and its siege at various levels.”

The Front called on the Moroccan people to “eliminate the symbols of normalisation and those who support them, and stressed the need to firmly address all those who seek to normalise with the Israeli entity, and whose normal visits constitute a betrayal to the martyrs.”

These visits constitute an attempt to manipulate the collective Arab consciousness and the state of overwhelming rejection, and shift the conflict from its origins and nature as it is essentially a conflict between the Arab nation and the Zionist entity.

It added: “Our condemnation of the visit of this Moroccan delegation, which normalises relations with the Israeli entity, cannot affect the image of the brotherly Moroccan people who support and assist our people, including the recent dispatch of a field hospital to the Gaza Strip.”
