Palestinian refugees face further displacement in Syria

Palestinians who fled the besieged and now destroyed Yarmouk refugee camp in the outskirts of Damascus face further displacement as they have been ordered to leave the homes in which they took refuge in the surrounding towns.

As displaced Syrians return to their homes, many have given the Palestinian occupants two weeks to vacate properties and find alternatives, leaving the refugees in a dire situation and risking homelessness.

Fleeing Palestinians moved to Babbila, Yalda and Beit Sahem in the south of Damascus are unable to return to Yarmouk as the refugee camp has been completely destroyed with the Director General of the Political Department of the Palestine Liberation Organization Anwar Abdul Hadi saying that  the process of reopening roads and removing the rubble in the area will begin after the Muslim festivl of Eid this weekend.
