The Israeli military court in Ofer has rejected an appeal filed by Palestinian writer, Lama Khater, against her detention, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club said yesterday.
Khater’s lawyer, Firas Al-Sabah, said that since his client was arrested she has been investigated as a result of the articles and social media posts she has published.
Khater, 42, from the occupied West Bank city of Hebron is known for her critical work against the Palestinian Authority and Israel. The mother of five was arrested from her home by occupation forces on 24 July.
