French Dairy Firm, Centrale Danone, has launched a campaign to improve its image in Morocco after 100 days of boycotts of the company’s products.

In April, 20 Moroccan activists organised a boycott campaign on social media against Afriquia petrol stations, Centrale Danone and the Sidi Ali water brand to protest the firms’ high prices.

Centrale Danone said yesterday that it would like to get its Moroccan customers involved in deciding its new prices and start a new page in relations.

The company launched a website to allow consumers to interact directly with it and to consult them in the production and sale of its products.

The company has also announced that it will hold direct meetings with consumers in five Moroccan cities.

Director of the Moroccan Institute for Policy Analysis, Mohamed Mesbah, said the company’s actions “show that the boycott campaign was successful”.
