Iranians yesterday continued their demonstrations in the city of Isfahan for the second day against price hikes in the country, the Anadolu Agency reported.

Local sources said hundreds of people took part in the demonstrations, showing their objection to the decline in the value of the Iranian currency.

Iranian police attempted to disperse the crowds with tear gas, while protesters chanted slogans against the ruling regime and burnt tyres.

Owners of shops and drivers of oil tankers took part in the demonstrations, causing fuel shortages in a number of areas.
