Egypt: Father slays his daughter’s rapist

A farmer from the Egyptian village of Kafr Al-Dawwar has murdered a worker for allegedly having an illegal relationship with his daughter and raping her.

According to local sources, Major-General Jamal Al-Rasheedi, director of local security at the Egyptian province of Beheira, received a notification from the Major Mahmoud Hindi, head of investigations at Kafr El Dawar’s police station, that Mohamed Ali had stabbed a worker named Mohamed S with a knife during his appearance before the prosecution.

The victim was reported to have been transferred to Kafr El-Dawar’s general hospital after he was stabbed.

Ali, the farmer, was temporarily detained by the security forces.
