Leader of the Ennahda movement Rachid Ghannouchi said that there are plotters working to abort the revolution in his country, Anadolu reported on Thursday.
His remarks came during a speech in Turkey in which he said that the Tunisian revolution represents the hopes of Muslims and their plan and dream of development. Tunis, he said, did not only launch a revolution, but also has maintained it until today.
He said that the youths toppled the authoritarian regime and established a democratic one which keeps up with the Islamic values.
He noted that Islam is a global religion and there is no big city in the world without a form of Islamic life. Dictatorships, however, undermined the expansion of Islam around the world, he continued.
