Arab-Israeli members of the Knesset will meet with the EU Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini next month to discuss the “nation-state bill” which Tel Aviv passed last month, Quds Net News reported.
According to the news site, MK Aida Touma-Suleiman said they would discuss the dangers of this bill and would call for a high-level political movement against it.
“It is a battle of existence and right to self-determination,” she said, “and we will not retreat.”
She stressed that there are popular counter measures against this bill on the parliamentary and international levels.

Meeting will also be held with representatives of the UN and Human Rights Council, Touma added.
She also revealed that the High Follow-up Committee for the Arab Citizens in Israel had filed a complaint to the Commissioner of the Minority Rights, which would open and investigation into the Israeli violations against the rights of minorities.
The Knesset approved the Nation-State Law, which regards Israel as a nation-state for “Jews alone”. It downgrades the Arabic language and recognises a united Jerusalem, east and west, as the capital of Israel.
